I am the Design Director at Mimoco, a Boston-based design house best known for MIMOBOT designer USB flash drives! woohoo!

On Schoolin’
In college, I majored in Journalism because it was at least more useful than English, but then I went back to school and majored in Art. My parents had absolutely no chance that I’d become an accountant/scientist/doctor/[their immigrant dream].
On Battlin’
I was one of 8 finalists in 2007 Cut&Paste Tournament — and the only lady to represent. Unfortunately, I got snuffed out in the 1st round. D’oh.
On Sketchin’
I’m not a fan of Moleskin sketchbooks — *gasp* I prefer cheapo composition notebooks, a bic pen/Hello Kitty mechanical pencil, and my Macbook Pro + wacom tablet. These are my weapons of choice.
On Physical Challengin’
I lion dance for an all-female troupe (Gund Kwok); completed a half marathon in 2010; and, survived my second Warrior Dash. Currently, gearing up for a 5K, 10K (did not complete due to injury..darn!), another half-marathon, and a 5-mile obstacle course — yeehaw!
On Comic-Makin’
In whatever spare time I have left, I also am the artist/creator behind Empty Bamboo Girl, which is published in the Sampan Newspaper.
