MimoMicro USB Card Reader & Drive by Mimoco

Here’s the top secret project we’ve been working on for the past few years and it’s finally made its debut at CES — yay!

They’re pretty cool and pretty cute — no more searching for cables! Just shove your microSD card into the reader, flip out the USB, and plug into the computer. If that’s not awesome, then I don’t know what is. *sigh* Making life simple and fun :)

I’ve been carrying my little Yoda around for the past few days…been protective of it because it’s my precious baby.

They’ll be available to the masses in March so be sure to visit mimoco.com to get one for yourself!

The MIMOMICRO product line is a smaller, more versatile device and demonstrates the evolution of the MIMOBOT collection. Not only can MIMOMICRO be used as a USB flash drive with removable microSD memory cards, but it also functions as a microSD card reader to transport data between mobile phones, tablets, e-readers, digital cameras, and mp3 players to your computer. It makes sharing your data with the world that much faster and easier. READ MORE

Domo X MIMOBOT Q&A with Toyota

Listen to art director Lillian Chan recount the story of “Domo Mimobot.”

This was a fun Mimoco project with Toyota Yaris. Let’s say that it was challenging to find some quiet spaces around the office — competing with the train right outside my window was not fun. Oh yeah, and my many outfit and hairdo changes :P

Anyhow, go Domo and MIMOBOT!

Who Is the Strangest Of them All? Emily the Strange MIMOBOT!

She’s here! Emily the Strange, that paragon of independence and self-awareness is now a MIMOBOT® flash drive series!

After introducing our limited edition of 500 Emily the Strange MIMOBOT drives at San Diego ComiCon this past July we thought, “Wait! That can’t be it! We need MORE STRANGE!!!”

And so here we are, with 2 amazing designs, “People Are Strange” and “Save Yourself”, both available in up to 64GB capacities. These designs are all inspired by the individualism, determination, and do-it-yourself style that has made Emily the Strange so strangely awesome!

Say, “Hello!” to the new designs :) I think they came out looking great and stayed true to the character, which can be a challenge when working with the MIMOBOT form. Most of all, I love what Emily stands for — being true to yourself.

It was a great series to work on with creator Rob Reger and his team.

Mimoco designer Lisa Kurth took the lead on design. And the animation was created by Mimoco animator & 3D artist, Jon Straube.

Great work again by the Mimoco crew!

In the Mimoco Kitchen…

we have one of those toast-egg maker machines and a stockpile of eggs in the fridge so someone’s always cooking some up. I like the little note at the end.
