MimoMicro USB Card Reader & Drive by Mimoco

Here’s the top secret project we’ve been working on for the past few years and it’s finally made its debut at CES — yay!

They’re pretty cool and pretty cute — no more searching for cables! Just shove your microSD card into the reader, flip out the USB, and plug into the computer. If that’s not awesome, then I don’t know what is. *sigh* Making life simple and fun :)

I’ve been carrying my little Yoda around for the past few days…been protective of it because it’s my precious baby.

They’ll be available to the masses in March so be sure to visit mimoco.com to get one for yourself!

The MIMOMICRO product line is a smaller, more versatile device and demonstrates the evolution of the MIMOBOT collection. Not only can MIMOMICRO be used as a USB flash drive with removable microSD memory cards, but it also functions as a microSD card reader to transport data between mobile phones, tablets, e-readers, digital cameras, and mp3 players to your computer. It makes sharing your data with the world that much faster and easier. READ MORE

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I take a zillion snapshots when I’m out and about — this one while I was on a ski slope. I probably crashed while snowboarding. Hence, not wanting to move and preferring to make a little snowman instead.

Anyhow, have a great holiday — I am SO going to relax and unwind. :)

Domo X MIMOBOT Q&A with Toyota

Listen to art director Lillian Chan recount the story of “Domo Mimobot.”

This was a fun Mimoco project with Toyota Yaris. Let’s say that it was challenging to find some quiet spaces around the office — competing with the train right outside my window was not fun. Oh yeah, and my many outfit and hairdo changes :P

Anyhow, go Domo and MIMOBOT!

When I was 10, a self-portrait

I kept a journal when I was younger due in large part to my mother who made sure I wrote in it every night before I went to bed. Most days I didn’t have much to write except that I had noodles for lunch. Here’s a self-portrait I did at the age of 10 — a masterpiece!

I remember that shirt too…and the unfortunate perm.

I’m glad my mother was so strict about journaling. I wasn’t a happy camper about it back then. But now, it’s super nice to be able to look back.

Hello Fishie!

Recently I’ve been working on black & white illustration line art for the Sampan Newspaper along with my comic. The primary use for these? Coloring pages.

The fishie says, “Hello!” It’s the kind of hello you say when someone’s looking at you and so you feel obligated to say hello to break the awkward moment.

When it comes to USB drives, is it fun over function?

Yay — check out the designs I worked on that are featured on CNN’s Geek Out blog — Nerd Kitty Hello Kitty, Vintage Batman, and Han Solo with Carbonite Carrying Case!

When you are passionate about a franchise like “Star Wars” or “Batman” you can find ways to show your fandom in every part of your life: clothes, coffee cups, mouse pads, etc.

Mimoco has tapped into that with their line of Mimobot USB drives – available in several styles to meet many differing fandoms. Mimoco’s drives are some of the coolest out there, and they just released a new series licensed from Lucasfilm and DC Comics at San Diego Comic-Con.
